Have y’all heard about “The New Black”? Well it’s WTF Friday so today is the perfect time to talk about it. Apparently Common, Pharrell and Raven-Symoné have elected themselves as thought leaders and spokespeople and are telling Black people to stop bringing so much damn attention to the fact that we’re Black. That’s the “new black”. Ummm, WTF? Also: no thanks. And now Isaiah Washington is telling Chris Rock and all of us that we need to ‪”adapt“‬ to racial profiling by police. What?!?! Yes, we should all love each other and judge each individual by the content of their character, not the color of their skin. Yes, that is a two-way street. But no, we don’t have to forget, excuse, or compromise ourselves or our heritage to do that.  ‪#‎BNGWTF‬
